Meet Our Staff

Hello!  My name is Jennifer Landis.  I am excited to be the K-8 teacher here at Ionia Seventh-day Adventist School!  I am passionate about helping students enjoy learning and most importantly, to find Jesus in all aspects of their lives and studies.

A Michigan native and former student of this school, I have lived in six different states. During this time I attended Great Lakes Adventist Academy, Ouachita Hills College, and completed my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at Southwestern Adventist University. I have received extensive music training and experience with piano, stringed instruments, bell choir, chimes, and voice.

Drawing, swimming, cooking, reading and traveling are some of my hobbies.  I am a Pathfinder TLT and Master Guide.  I can't wait to share my love for God and His beautiful creation with your child!

Hello!  My name is April Elliott.  I serve as the Teacher's Aide and Facilitator for A.S.P.I.R. E. Academy's Ionia campus.  My desire is to awaken a sense of curiosity and joy in learning inside the classroom and to apply that knowledge in practical, real world experiences.  My goal is for students to develop a strong faith in God that will bless them and those they meet throughout their lifetime.

I attended Great Lakes Adventist Academy and spend two years in general studies at Andrews University with emphasis in elementary education.  After working in business management positions in a variety of settings, I joined the school here in 2017.  I have held a variety of church offices and enjoy interacting with children through leading out in Vacation Bible School programs and Sabbath School classes.

I enjoy playing flute in the Portland Community Orchestra and exploring other instruments such as the guitar and mandolin.  Other hobbies include gardening,  traveling, reading,  and studying biblical history,  especially creation evidence.  I spend most of my time with my husband and two daughters, two spoiled cats and four miniature horses.
